The Boat Race

When? 11th April, 2015

Where?  From Putney to Mortlake

What? Here’s one of the most awaited sports events in London! The Boat Race is a contest which takes place every year close to Easter between two crews from the Oxford University and Cambridge University. It is carried out on the River Thames in West London, between Putney and Mortlake. This April will be the 161st contest. It is a unique sport event watched by thousands along the River Thames and by millions on TV around the world.

London Original Print Fair

Where?  Royal Academy of Arts

What? London offers events to satisfy everyone! The London Original Print Fair celebrates its 29th years at the Royal Academy showing both old and contemporary masterpieces by the most famous old and contemporary Masters. In addition, this year 30 prints will be lent by the Royal Collection including pieces by Dürer, Raphael and Canaletto.

Virgin Money London Marathon

When? 26th April, 2015

Where?  Start in Greenwich

What? Get on your running shoes and start visiting London while running by its major attractions! Sunday 26th April there will be the 35th edition of the Virgin Money Marathon, a sporting day which has become a tradition of the London’s spring. For registering all runners have to attend at least one day of the Virgin Money London Marathon Expo. Since there will be many roads closed during the race day, for getting around we recommend you to use the London Underground or the Southeastern Railway.

Virgin Money London Marathon Expo

When? 22nd – 25th April, 2015

Where?  ExCeL – East London

What? The 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon Expo will take place from Wednesday 22nd April to Saturday 25th April at ExCeL in East London. All runners that want to participate to the marathon that will be held on 26th April have to attend the Expo one of these days to register. Check here the opening hours:

  • Thursday 23rd April: 10:00 – 20:00
  • Friday 24th April: 10:00 – 20:00

Canalway Cavalcade

When? 2nd – 4th May, 2015

Where?  Little Venice

What? The Canalway Cavalcade has been taking place at Little Venice since 1983. During these days the Little Venice will host more than 130 multi-coloured boats moored along the Grand Union Canal. It is your chance to visit Little Venice and see it colourful as you never seen it. The event will be accompanied also by local fair and tasty selection of food stalls. At the end, there will be a procession of boats starting in the pool at 21:30 and finishing at 22:00, with a band performing live.

London Craft Week

Foodies Festival

When? 23th – 25th May, 2015

Where?  Syon Park

What? The Foodies Festival is an annual event taking place in Syon Park being visited by ten-of-thousands visitors from all over London’s surroundings. Syon is one of the last great houses of London and its park is the perfect location to have a nice picnic. During the day, you can explore other kitchens and taste the best dishes cooked for you by famous chefs. The chefs will prepare their dishes in the Chef’s Theatre. The drinks, such as cocktails, beers and wines will be prepared in the Drink’s Theatre and children will be able to enjoy and learn to cook in the Children’s Theatre.
