David Bowie is

Where? Philharmonie de Paris

What? A singer, a rocker, an innovator, a pioneer, an actor as well as a fashion icon… David Bowie. “David Bowie is” is a journey through his career in which real music lovers can admire his handwritten lyrics, original costumes, photography, instruments music videos as well as movies. It is all dedicated to “The Thin White Duke” who introduced a new concept of rock exploiting its mechanisms and distorting its dogmas.

Le Blues Autor Du Zinc

What? Ayo, Kyle Eastwood, Otis Taylor, Sallie Ford, Bikini Machine… These are just a few names that will performing on the 20th edition of Le Blues Autor du Zinc. The first edition was held in 1996 with only 6 artists performing. This year more than 40 names will be participating. The event has gained ground over the years becoming one of the most awaited blues festivals in Paris. For its 20th birthday, there will be three “Secret Gigs” that you will discover once you’re in the concert hall.

The Paris Book Fair

When? 20th – 23rd March, 2015

Where?  Paris XV – Porte de Versailles – Pavillon 1

What? For three days Paris hosts the “Paris Book Fair”, where the real books addicts can lose themselves in new and old literature. Every year a tribute is paid to another country, this year the guest of honour is Brazil, with 48 authors invited. Join the event and discover more about the Latin American culture. Drawing Now Paris 

When? 25th – 29th March, 2015

Where? Carreau du Temple

What? If you are a real drawing lover you can’t miss this event which this year celebrates its 9th birthday at the Carreau du Temple. “Drawing now Paris” is an assemblage of 73 international galleries which have been selected by an independent committee composed by the most important people of the art world. During your visit, you can attend to different conversations as well as interviews (also in English) about various topics. The event will feature a total of 50 years of drawing by over 400 different artists.

Art Paris Art Fair 

When? 26th – 29th March, 2015

Where? Grand Palais

What? Paris hosts the leading springtime event at the end of March at the Grand Palais. This year “Art Paris Art Fair” wears oriental colours with guests of honour like Singapore and Southeast Asia. Throughout contemporary art and design, the fair will explore the dialogues and connections between the East and West world with a total of 45 galleries from 20 different countries. There will also be a section dedicated to the literary world, called “ArtBooks”. Last year 58.387 visitors attended the fair, with 17.115 taking part in the opening night.

FOIRE DU TRÔNE, FUNFAIR

When? 27th March – 25th May, 2015

Where? Pelouse de Reuilly

What? Here’s the most awaited funfair in France! Foire du Trône, held in Pelouse de Reuilly. The funfair is for all ages, with more than 350 attractions and rides distributed over an area of 10 hectares. Paris hosts this event from March to May every day from 12:00 to 24:00, and on Saturday from 12:00 until 1:00.

PAD – Paris Art + Design

What?  The “Paris Art + Design” is the most awaited exhibition by the art and design addicts.
