Concerts at Villa Ada

Where? Villa Ada

What? Villa Ada is the event that embraces all the Roman summer. There will be many famous musicians from all around the world performing and this year there will be also a new initiative called Roma brucia and completely dedicated to the new emerging bands! Needless to say, the location is wonderful! It is the second largest park in Rome and there’s a lake inside. During the concerts, the lights reflected in the water make the park a mystical place. Auditorium Parco della Musica

Where? Auditorium Parco della Musica

What? The Auditorium Parco della Musica, a project by the famous Italian architect Renzo Piano, is a large multi-functional music complex in Rome. Every month it hosts many live concerts, festivals, exhibitions and movies. Besides the events, a visit to the Auditorium is your occasion to admire the amazing architecture by the greatest Italian architect, author of many projects around the world, such as the “Centre Georges Pompidou” in Paris and “The London Bridge Tower”, also known as the “Shard”. Moreover, you will be also captured by the structure of the Auditorium halls, built in order that the sound spreads out uniformly in all directions. You can also enjoy typical Italian food in the many bars and restaurants or go shopping in the stores and art galleries.

Festival delle Letterature   

When? Until the end of June, 2015

Where? Piazza del Campidoglio

What? This is the 14th edition of the Festival delle Letterature, held as always in the Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome. The city hosts some of the best contemporary artists in the literature field which will entertain the audience with their readings. Each year the theme of the festival changes and the artists have the freedom to choose the kind of text. It can be narrative as well poetic, but they have to be all unpublished. Gay Village Festival  

When? June – September, 2015

Where? Via delle Tre Fontane

What? The Gay Village opens its doors from the late June until the early September. For almost three months each summer this festival transforms the park in an outdoor complex where people can enjoy movies in the outdoor cinema, discos, with 2 dance floors, restaurants, bars and even an open-air gym.

Line Up – Rock in Roma  

When? June – September, 2015

Where?  Ippodromo delle Capannelle  

What? Keep Calm and Let’s Rock! From June to September, at the famous Ippodromo delle Capannelle, you can enjoy rock concerts with different international musicians performing. The concerts will be opened by Alt-j the 14th of June and closed by the famous American rock band Linkin Park the 6th of September. Raise your hands, sing and dance under the Roman sky during the all hot season.

Festa de Noantri

When? July, 2015

Where? Trastevere

What? The district Trastevere in Rome celebrates its origin with 2 weeks of events, performances, processions and fireworks! The residents participate in the procession “Madonna del Carmine”, prepare stalls with the precious local crafts, set folk music concerts and theatrical performances. The district is dressed up with colours which make it even more magic than it already is.

Summer season of Teatro dell’Opera  

When? July – August, 2015

Where? Teatro Nazionale, Teatro Costanzi and Terme di Caracalla

What? “La Dama di Picche”, the “Pink Floyd ballet”, “Tosca”, “Madama Butterfly” and many others are the performances that the Stagione Estiva del Teatro dell’Opera offers in Rome. You can see those performances staged in the Teatro Nazionale, Teatro Costanzi and Terme di Caracalla. Besides the opera, at the Terme di Caracalla, the 29th of June you can join the concert by one of the most famous artist in the music world… Bob Dylan!
