The Chocolate Museum is located in the same street that crosses the Market of El Born, and it is a great place to go to with children, since the subject is the origin of chocolate. El Born Centre Cultural
The Market of El Born is one of the most important tourist attractions in the neighbourhood of the same name. Despite carrying the name of the neighbourhood of El Born, it’s located in the border with the neighbourhood of La Ribera, where you will also find the Parc de la Ciutadella.
This old local market is nowadays a cultural centre, which is why its actual name is Born Centre Cultural. Besides, it hosts a section dedicated to the local library.

Eating in this place is a completely different experience. As soon as you arrive, you will see a long queue to enter. This restaurant doesn’t work the same way a conventional restaurant does, since you need to choose the fresh fish you want to eat as you enter, as if you were in a fish market!
Once they’ve cooked your fish and seafood, the personnel will call you through the speakers so you can eat your freshly cooked dishes.

Tasca i Vins also belongs to a chain, and it is located in front of Barcelona’s Estació de França. Here, you will be able to enjoy typical Catalan cuisine, thanks to the exquisite dishes and tapas prepared with local produce.
El born is a very busy place during the night. In the very same Passeig del Born, right behind Santa Maria del Mar, you will be able to go inside a street full of pubs that are opened until 3 am.
But if you want to go dancing, you can do so behind El Born Centre Cultural, in the club Màgic. With a good mixture of music from the 80s and the latest hits, this is the favourite place of the neighbourhood’s residents to go dancing.
